Welcome to the website of the Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra! The ECO is a charitable organisation commited to promoting the playing of live orchestral music in and around Edinburgh.

The ECO is a string orchestra although we occasionally perform with wind players in concerts. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings 19.30-21.30 with a tea break at Morningside United Church.

New Members are always welcome and although there are no auditions players should be at least Grade 6 Standard or equivalent. Membership is currently £50 (£15 for students). We are particularly keen to recruit more violinists at present.
